Abstinence Program
The mission of IV-CHARIS's Abstinence program
are to empower and enlighten youth with vital
educational tools and accurate, scientific information
motivating them towards healthy choices that lead
to a healthy lifestyle.
Vision
Our vision is to achieve a significant reduction
with high-risk behaviors amongst the youth we
service. In addition, peer educators will be developed
as a result of the classes we provide with appropriate
training.
The Program
- Train high school students that are college
bound
- HIV education in ten local schools
- Abstinence education in ten local schools
- Abstinence education in two court-adjudicated
facilities for youth
- Abstinence education classes training selected
individuals to develop their own Abstinence
