Abstinence Program

The mission of IV-CHARIS's Abstinence program are to empower and enlighten youth with vital educational tools and accurate, scientific information motivating them towards healthy choices that lead to a healthy lifestyle.

Vision

Our vision is to achieve a significant reduction with high-risk behaviors amongst the youth we service. In addition, peer educators will be developed as a result of the classes we provide with appropriate training.

The Program

• Train high school students that are college bound
• HIV education in ten local schools
• Abstinence education in ten local schools
• Abstinence education in two court-adjudicated facilities for youth
• Abstinence education classes training selected individuals to develop their own Abstinence Program
